Moving to a New Home

We’re moving, in the real world, to a different location. That will majorly effect my blogging. I will most likely not blog at all until after the move. My blogging hasn’t been that great to begin with, frequency, but I hope for it to GREATLY increase after the move. As for my other blogs I will fully start them after the move.

Thank you for following my blog.

Starting School Today

I’ve decided on my curriculum and what it will contain. I’ll use bits and pieces of the following; some school-zone workbooks, some science stuff I have on hand, bits and pieces of the K4 curriculum and some block stuff. I’m really excited about doing it all.

What I have planned for the day is do a little baking  soda vinegar science experiment. What the experiment will be is some baking soda and vinegar combined, with a balloon on-top. So the kids can see air pressure in action. I think it is so cool. Don’t know what else to learn from it but would like to know. As for the workbook stuff I plan to use, same and different, letters, writing, counting and other basics a kid should. As for the K4 I think I’ll mainly use the Daily Notebook.

Please tell me what you think of my first day of homeschooling. Also tell me what else the kids can learn with the baking soda/vinegar experiment.

I’m only going to do a few blogs, not a lot. There’s so much more than what I have listed. All you have to do to get a bigger base and a lot more info is Google Homeschool Curriculum and then the age group your looking for. You’ll find SO much.

Blog 1 – Confessions of a Homeschooler
Since I purchased the Ultimate Homemaking Ebook Bundle it included her K4 curriculum. To get it now you’ll have to spend either $15, $20 or $30 to get it. What it includes is a lesson plan and LOTS of stuff. Everything from worksheets on writing to math flashcards. I may just use it as a basis for my curriculum. As there is a lot of information here. Looks like a good start and easy to make fun.

Blog 2 – Home-school Creations’ Preschool Corner
There is a lot of resources here. A big long list of things. Looks to be from training boys to just having fun. I’ll definitely be putting this list to use. There’s also some things on book units and geography. Though the links don’t work and need redone. Links don’t work. Whomever runs the site needs to update the pages. I would think that there is some worth while info there but not going to wait around for it.

Blog 3 – Letter of the Week
Now this has a lot of resources. They have lots of info and it’s already set up for easy use. There really isn’t much to say on this. As there is only stuff for the alphabet. I might use it I might not.

Next post will be how I put it together to make a curriculum for my kids. I’ll also post how they do with it. Anxious I am to see how it all works out. Though I would LOVE to hear from you and the resources you use to make your curriculum. Please let me see your work by posting.

To Day is the Day

To day is the day I’m going to start compiling data into a curriculum for my three kids. I’m going to take it one step at a time so I don’t get overwhelmed. The first thing I’m going to do is research. I’m going to look through some blogs and find out what other people are doing to teach their kids. Specifically I’m going to focus on the ages of 1-5, as that’s how old mine are. As I go through the blogs I’ll post with what I find. What I’m planning is that I will post with all the stuff I go through and how I put it together to make a curriculum.

I hope that you find this fun and interesting. Please tell me what kind of curriculum you come up with with what’s provided.

This post will be updated randomly. As for now I’m just listing my husband & I’s blogs.

Alter Earth – For my husband’s game
BukieWurm’s Reviews – Book Reviews
Dragons and Faeries – Story/ies I write
Quarky’s Reviews – TV/Movies/Electornics Blogs
Ramblings of a Girl People Call Crazy – Just me rambling about anything and everything under the sun
Sex Dreams and Love  – Just as the title says

I’m REALLY looking forward to your thoughts and comments.

I’m going to try and use this blog purely for what works for growing kids in God‘s Light. I wan to make a curriculum that is easy to use, doesn’t take hours a day or a lot of research. This blog is designed on that and for just that. Not just my life or how to make my life better, but for my children. I love ‘em and want what’s best for them. If you would like more of my reviews feel free to visit one of these to blogs, BukieWurm’s Reviews or Quarky’s Reviews.

BukieWurm’s is for books and Quarky’s is for TV, movies and other electronics. I love reading books and watching TV. I won’t be reviewing books or anything like that unless it deals with making curriculum. My husband wants me to home-school and so do I. This blog will have a main focus of teaching and going through life. I want this to help people find their way in life and let them know that the only thing holding them back is their own imagination.

I must say that ANYTHING is possible. The only limits in life are what you can imagine. I know this because I do my best to live it. For most to all my life I have imagined what I want it to be and I have regret the time I haven’t taken action. This time around and with three little ones I’m going to put what I imagine into action. With what I have I will do everything in my power to create a WAY better life for them. Never in my life have I ever felt anything like the way I feel for my kids. As for my husband that’s a completely different matter entirely. I don’t FEEL love or showing love towards him. Though that is for a different blog entirely, Sex Love and Dreams.

Feel free to post on any of them to let me know what you think of ‘em.

In the bundle this is mainly mp3s with some sample PDFS. You can purchase the actual book for about $20 from the website. Which if you do you will get one book, one workbook and the mp3s. Now if it is anything like the mp3s then I would say it is worth it. Though at this stage I can’t tell. Maybe at a later date I’ll be able to review those books. I don’t review samples, as there really isn’t much to review.

Now for the mp3s, the only thing I really have to tell about. There’s a lot of info in this pack. Once you go through ‘em all and REALLY study ‘em you’ll definitely be spending less at the store. I know I will. I have learned now to not make a menu first but second. As after you have a list of what’s a good deal, and I mean good deal, you will know what to stock up on and what meals to make. There’s just so much good info in this pack. I have already started implementing this into my life. I didn’t know what to do with grocery shopping or meal planning but know I have a better understanding of it all.

If at all you have purchased the Ultimate Homemaking Ebook Bundle then this is a golden nugget. Though if you didn’t cash in on it then you’ll have to dish out the 20 bucks and get the Grocery University pack. Which I would say that it would be worth it. Now it’s time for you to take the course and tell me what you think.

There’s about 4 of the books in the bundle with this title. The only difference with them is the bible verses. So I’ll just review them as one book.

What this book contains is merely a way of teaching bible verses to kids. As far as I can tell the way they are having the reader teach their kids have been around for a VERY long time. How long I don’t know. The only thing I do know is in my opinion is Oldies tend to be goodies. For a week I will try this way out on my kids and see how well they learn.

In the book it covers from birth to preschoolers, which is the age range of my kids. Starting today I will begin testing and teaching my kids in the way that is in the book. The version I will be using will be the ESV, English Standard Version. At the end of the period I will post a video of my kids reciting some of the bible verses in the book.

As for if I think this book is worth the money I paid, about 31¢, no. This information can be found online for free. I’m starting to feel that my bundle isn’t what I thought it would be. Though I have yet to give up hope. There still could be some golden gems of information here. We’ll see how it all ends up in a week for this book. I will still post a new book review before the video comes out.

I would LOVE to hear YOUR reviews of this book. Please post either a link to your blog post reviewing this book or just post it.

This bundle is well worth the money spent. In-fact you’re actually getting $780, minus shipping on the offers, in books, kits, ecourse, etc. Yesterday I bought this bundle and have yet to regret it. The only thing I did regret is telling my husband I went out and spent it. This month I plan on reviewing each of the books, guides, products, kits and whatever else is included. In my reviews I will give you the low down on what I think. In this post I will post a link to the bundle and what’s included in it.

So far with just looking at what’s in it, the titles, it looks WELL worth the cash. Most of the offers I don’t need or want but will check ‘em out anyways. I have already ordered a few of the offers; yogurt, shampoo, lip balm and wheat grass kit. I’ve downloaded all the books and the e-course for “Real Food Eatting.” I’m really looking forward to reviewing this collection. I’d say if you are a seasoned mom or just starting out this collection is for you. Lisa, at organize365.com, is hosting a giveaway which includes a Kindle Fire HD and the complete collection. So you can try and get it for free.

Well I hope you buy it and read it for yourself. As for the info I promised, here it is. The list of what is included and a link to the purchasing site. The following was taken from myhumblekitchen.com. It includes the original prices for each of the documents, what you will have to pay after May 4th, also what each of the offers are worth, minus shipping. I’m still shocked that I don’t have buyer’s remorse with this purchase. Which I must say is a big thing with me, as that’s my norm with anything I buy.
